Application Process

Before applying Helada Cristal Frosted Laminates you must thoroughly clean the glass to be used. Firstly remove any spots of dried paint etc, and then wash with clean, soapy water.

Note: Shower Doors and other wet environments

Note that all designs placed in wet environments should be applied to the exterior (ie, dry) surface

Place your design, frost side down, on a flat surface away from wind and dust. Carefully (avoid tearing or stretching the laminate) peel away the backing paper and discard.

(Note. If your laminate has been supplied with a clear tape to protect the design do not remove it until you have completed the application process)

Fill a spray bottle with water and add 3 drops of washing up liquid. Then liberally spray the exposed surface of the laminate (the sticky side) and the glass.

(Note. Please ensure you spray both the laminate and glass with plenty of water)

Carefully pick up the laminate, ensuring the sticky side is facing away from you and slide into position on your glass.

Place a bank card or credit card inside a clean, dry, lint free cloth.

Carefully smooth the cloth and card over the surface of the laminate. This pushes out the water and removes any bubbles, creating a vacuum and enabling your laminate to stick to the glass. After removing the excess water and bubbles, allow to dry. Should any small bubbles remain, stab with a pin, and smooth over with your finger.

(Please allow 24 hours for laminate supplied with clear tape to dry before carefully removing it)
